About Us

A Safe Place to Grow, Belong, and Be Heard

Crescent Meadow Care provides residential care for children and young people aged 8 to 18. Our home, Glenmorag House, sits in South Manchester, offering a small, warm and supportive space for children who may have faced trauma, difficult emotions, or unsettled times in their lives.

We see every child as their own person, with their own story, strengths, and dreams. That's why we build our care around real relationships, gentle routines, and clear boundaries that help children feel safe and secure. We listen closely to what children tell us they need, and we make sure their voice is always part of the plan.

"Every child's plan is built around who they are — their needs, their strengths, and their goals — with their family, social workers, and teachers all working alongside us."

Our team works hand in hand with placing authorities, social workers, teachers, health professionals, and — wherever it's right for the child — their own families, so that support wraps around them from every side.

We follow a therapeutic, trauma-informed way of caring, which simply means we understand that big feelings often come from hard experiences, and we respond with patience, not judgement. Keeping children safe is just the beginning — our real goal is helping every child grow in confidence, build emotional strength, gain independence, and develop the skills they'll carry with them into their future.
